Scratch how To Build An Email List
Hey, everyone! It’s Alex, and this week’s video is dedicated to fellow copywriters, marketers, and business owners ready to dive into building their email lists scratch. Email marketing holds a special place in my strategy, and I firmly believe that every brand, business, freelancer, and service provider should maintain and regularly communicate with an email list.
Let’s dive into the five steps you need to start an email list from scratch. And if you want more videos like this, hit that subscribe button and ring the bell to stay notified.
Step 1: Sign Up for an Email Sender
The first obvious step is to sign up for an email marketing service. Numerous options like MailChimp, ConvertKit, ActiveCampaign, Flowdesk, and Clavio are available. Research and choose a platform that aligns with your business goals and budget.
Step 2: Create a Valuable Freebie
To entice people to join your email list from scratch, you need a valuable freebie or lead magnet. Your freebie could be a guide, template, masterclass, webinar, training video, mini-course, coupon code, free sample trial, or a giveaway.
Design a landing page for your freebie. It should be attention-grabbing, concise, and clearly state the benefits. Include elements like a headline, call to action (CTA), credibility banner, benefits, authority bio, and additional CTAs. Ensure the landing page prompts users to sign up for instant access.
Step 3: Write a Day Zero Autoresponder and a Welcome Sequence
The day zero email serves as a confirmation and thank-you message. Welcome emails, or indoctrination emails, make new leads feel part of something bigger. introduce your brand, build rapport, and communicate expectations.
